Hello, My name is Austin and I am a college student at UTK. I have had acne since I was about 13 years old. Without any acne medication, I would rate the severity probably a 8-9, and with topical treatment, a 6-7. (on a scale of 1-10). I am exploring any options besides topical treatments, because I don’t feel they are working anymore, and I use the best stuff I can buy off the shelf (proactive, Xout). I have no insurance and I cannot afford incredibly expensive treatments, I was wondering if you guys are flexible with cost/payments and what the estimated expense for treatment would be. 10. October 2015

Hi Austin,

Thanks for your message.  We would love to help you find a treatment plan for acne that is good for your skin type and fits your budget.  We have a range of possibilities, including washes, creams, and pills.  It’s best to set up an initial office visit at either our Knoxville or Lenoir City office so that we can come up with a plan.  Give us a call at 865-450-9361.

Looking forward to meeting you!

what is the cost of botox and juvederm per syringe and can you use the fraxel laser on the area between the neck and upper breast where a necklace would fall and the cost of this treatment from suzanne Sprague 11. August 2015

Thanks for the questions!

Yes!  The neck, or décolletage, is a location that responds very well to Fraxel laser in most patients.  The Fraxel Dual laser can help to minimize brown spots and to stimulate collagen, which decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  The best way to find out if you are a candidate for Fraxel treatments and to learn more about the benefits is to make a free consultation appointment.  We would also be happy to discuss Botox and Juvederm products as well!

What is the best over the counter acne treatment? from kristy tucker 23. July 2015

There are many over the counter acne treatments.  The most popular treatments are probably benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid washes and creams.  Many patients, however, will need a broader range of therapy often requiring prescriptions.  We would love the opportunity to talk with you in person and evaluate your acne during a clinic visit.  Call us for an appointment at Knoxville Institute of Dermatology in Knoxville, TN.  865-450-9361.
