KNOW YOUR
ABCDE’S

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, but it is also very preventable and treatable when found early. Everyone should know the ABCDE’s of melanoma. Recognizing these signs and symptoms on your skin can detect cancer, before it becomes life threatening.

Basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas often present as a pink bump or warty growth that bleeds easily and is slow to heal. Although usually not life threatening, they can cause disfigurement if allowed to grow. For more information about skin cancer detection and treatment, please visit SpotSkinCancer.org.
