Knoxville Institute of Dermatology is pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Wright has joined our dermatology practice at both our Knoxville and Lenoir City locations.Dr. Adam Wright is Board-certified in Dermatology and Fellowship-trained in Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Wright will both practice general dermatology and perform Mohs surgery. Dr. Wright graduated summa cum laude in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and subsequently received his medical degree with high honors from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his dermatology residency at one of the country’s most rigorous and prestigious dermatology residency programs in the Department of Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where in his final year he served as chief resident. During his training, Dr. Wright excelled both scholastically and clinically. He received the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, the highest award given to a resident or fellow at Mayo Clinic, as well as multiple awards within the Department of Dermatology for excellence in clinical practice, patient care, education, and research. Dr. Wright is also an accomplished speaker and contributing author on many abstracts and clinical publications covering a wide array of dermatologic conditions. Dr. Wright is completed his fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Mayo Clinic in one of the nation’s most competitive fellowship programs.
